.AND...YES DONE IT !!! A REALLY NICE NEW ONE !!!
Yesterday morning after the all night heavy rain...i open my Elecraft K3 tranceiver and a miracle done...Noise S0 S1 .usually im bettewen s5-s6 in almost all bands becouse of the power lines and some bad insulators close to my qth.. .i said to my self Dimitri you forget to connect antenna ...hmm checking and antenna is there ..its no grounded working ok no swr BUT noise S0  WOOW !!
I saw a spot on 15m of Dom KH8/M1KTA  i turn the beam SP on 38 Degrees and i hear him S1 S2 tottally clear calling  JAs And after While CQ EU..i start calling with the rest Europeans....AND A SECOND MIRACLE in the same day HAPPEN i hear my call back ..YES  !! sent quick rst and after that ..
 CHAOS ..ZOO cant hear my comfirmation everybody calling & tuning sreaming QRMing...I didnt know if the qso was ok..I decide to wrote an email to Dom becouse KH8 is NEW ONE for me and very important  the answer come very quickly and YES comfirm it !! i was OK with very good signal 599+20dB  .. But the Bigger SURPRISE IS THE CONTITIONS Dom was with an ELECRAFT KX3 QRP 5W with VerTical Dipole on the BEACH ...Tottally AMAZING !!!CONGRATULATIONS my Friend !!!!!

Another IOTA Contest pass to  History..
For the Crete DX Team this contest was 100% succesfull !!!
We pass alot ..but finally we did it !!! we break our previous records and  made almost 3300 qsos and aprx 11.500.000 points,Es 520 Multies.Thanks to all of you !!!We hope for a good place and wishing all the best !!

SV9COL Es J49A EU 015 IOTA CONTEST 2012

..SV9 DxTeam is ready for the IOTA CONTEST 2012..!!!!
After the succesfully last year DXpedition to Kasos isl (J45K -- EU001) for this year we decide better to stay home and  organise a local DXpedition !!So after carefully examing  we choose the Beach of Falasarna  on the west side of Crete close to Chania .We licenced with the world known special J49A call and planning to  install Two 2 el ULTRABEAM Ant  for 20m and above and Inv L & verticals for lower bands on the beach ..for better results.We gonna use Two Acom 1010 linear amps an ELECRAFT K3 ,YAESU FT1000 MARK V FIELD as main Rigs and KENWOOD TS 590 & YAESU FT 450D for Backup also laptops with N1MM log.
 This Year we gonna have the support of SV9JI,SV9BKZ,SV9BMJ,SV9KNE,SV9MBL,SV9QCE  & Operation of SV9CJO,SV9COL,SV9DJO,SV9IOI,SV9GPV,SV9OFS.  Unfortunatelly for this year team are  not gonna have our "Cw machine!!" our good friend Agris YL2VW/SV0XBZ who turn Back to Latvia.But a nice surprise come from our friend Christo LZ3FN another  cw machine !! and wellknown contester who we ll join the team.We planning to Operate before and after the contest and if there is activity planning to operate on 6m or 4m. So su on AIR We ll be happy to listen you.

The new ACOM 1500 !! New  Baby...
Hmmm something between 1000 and 2000.
With First Look is like the Acom 1000 same box same size litlle heavier
but if you look better you can see details that make the difference.
New tube 4CX1000 ...more power 1500+Watt and three antennas to choose...very usefull
Its not Automatic as like  ACOM 2000 but seems will be cheaper.

...NOISE !!!The worst nightmare for every ham receiver ..
Did you ever think to change our hobby?...Im start to thinking ..more and more..
last weekend During the Cw WPX Contest the situation was tragically noise level S8-9 on Higher bands S9 Plus on lower during almost all day and night...But finnaly i manage to give some multies.
i ve Already start to do some actions for the problem ...ill tell you more the next days


Θορυβος ..!!! ο χειρότερος εφιάλτης για κάθε ραδιοερασιτεχνικό δέκτη...
Σκεφτήκατε ποτε να αλλάξεται το χομπυ μας ; εγω πάντως τον τελευταίο καιρό το σκέφτομαι συνέχεια...το περασμενο Σαββατοκυριακο στο cw wpx contest τα πραγματα ηταν τραγικα,
επιπεδο θορυβου S8-9  στις υψηλες μπάντες ,S9 Plus στις χαμηλότερες σχεδον καθ ολη την διαρκεια της ημερας καια της νυχτας παρολα αυτα καταφερα να δωσω καποια multies...
Ηδη εχω ξεκινήσει καποιες ενεργειες για την αντιμετώπιση το προβλήματος..

The last spring months April & May come with a lot of nice surprises..except Easter time and some holidays we had a lot Of Ham activity with nice callsigns on the Air !! Adrenaline going up and almost everybody trying to put them in the log!! We took the7th place on DXpedition category..on the latest IOTA contest results for 2011..!!! No Bad No Bad at all with all the difficulties we pass(Electricity cut off,No Internet connection ,no telephone totally unassistant).Anyway we Did IT !!! Hope the Very Best FOR NEXT YEAR!!!!
